I Got My First Allure Beauty Box! | HIT OR MISS?

I am a fan of subscription boxes and I will admit that until the death of me. It's like a little gift from you to you every month, lol. I have tried boxes such as Birchbox, Boxy Charm, Bark Box and now the Allure Beauty Box. I typically aim for boxes that have reasonable value. For example, I love deluxe size products or full size product boxes simply because I feel like you get your moneys worth. If you haven't read my blog post on Boxy Charm, check it out here!

I initially signed up for the Allure Beauty Box because the $10 price tag stood out to me. I was truly amazed at the types of brands they provide their clients and only for $10?!! Later I found out that $10 is for your first box and afterwards it's $15, which is still not bad! After taxes the charge turns out to be $16 and some change. You get brands such as Drunk Elephant, Tarte, M.A.C., IGK, and Living Proof. Spoiler Alert: That's what my first box contained, lol.  So, one of the good things that they do and I noticed Boxy Charm just started doing is that, upon signing up on that same month, guarantees you that months box. So, for example, if you sign up on 10/10/18 you will still be eligible to get the October box. If this is your first month a welcome gift will also be shipped separately to you. I have not received mine yet but how cool is that?

So, I noticed that my box brought a mixture of full-size products and deluxe size. Again, not bad and I can roll with that for $15. I will keep it real with you guys and say that one thing did disappoint me and maybe this was my fault for misreading information.. I have been very curious to try LaMer products and for some reason the ad that drew me to them showcased a LaMer face cream. I didn't get any of that in my box but hey, I did get other goodies. They describe their "deluxe" size items as something you can get 3 uses out of.

Now, is it worth it? Like reallllly worth it? Honestly, yes. It is now October and I have gotten my second box from Allure, I feel that I can decide if it is a good fit or not. For $15 you get to try brands that you often hear about but maybe you are scared to purchase because let's face it, skin care is an investment.

You might feel tempted (as I did) to compare this box to Boxy Charm but they are different types of boxes. For example: Boxy Charm gives you full size products for $5 more and Allure gives you deluxe/full/sample size products. Every month seems to vary. Will you be trying the Allure Beauty Box?
