Living in Miami I have seen my fair share of trends. As a
blogger I feel that it is my duty to go out there, research, and bring you back
newfound info! Now, I am not saying that my look is something that hasn’t
been done before but what I am trying to say is that I went out there and put
together a look that you guys have yet to see me in. This summer I am looking
to play more with bold colors and patterns. I’m trying to step out of the box a
whole lot more.
Even if you are not a blogger I feel like it is very
important to challenge yourself a little and learn things about yourself you
never knew. I feel that upon turning 20 is when I started to challenge myself
here and there more often. I have always been my toughest critic and I have
often lead myself to believe that I am not good enough. Heck, just this week
and last was a very hard week for me, mental wise. Looking back I tend to slap
myself in the face when I see all the things that I have accomplished. I guess
sometimes we just get caught up in the moment and don’t realize the work we are
putting in. So here is a tip: love yourself, appreciate yourself, change the things that don't make you happy, make peace with the things that you are because at the end of the day, you are your only true home. Keep reading for the deets on this look!
Anyway, back to the look and enough of life lessons for now!
Let me just be real with ya’ll for a couple sentences and say that I had to
heavilyyyyyyy hem these pants. Like I had to make them as skin tight as they
look. Lol I had bought these back in December and for months have been trying
to figure out how to wear them. After some hemming and cutting, they turned out
well! Next up I paired them with a bold color. HELLO, MUSTARD YELLOW! I am loving
the boldness of this look! The yellow blazer made me look a little slimmer by
making my torso look a little longer. Hooray for illusions! Anything that can make me look a little slender and taller these days is a win for me.
To accessorize I decided to add a clear band gold star
choker. By the way, in case you haven’t noticed, this look is 95% from Forever
21! I love forever 21 for it’s affordable pieces. Next up, I just haaaaaad to
throw on my new shades I purchased on the Wish app, for .99 cents! Yes you read
that right! .99 cents, baby! Ask me how! Haha. Shoes are plain black blocked
heels from Lola’s Shoetique and my purse which I love so so so so much is from
Marshalls! I love finding things at affordable prices. I will make sure to link similar (or I get lucky the same items) I am wearing for this look. Please keep in mind that I bought these items a couple months ago and they may not be available anymore.
I hope you guys enjoyed this chatty post! Let me know what
you think! Would you try a bold look like this? Are there any looks you would like to see me in? Let me know in the comments down below!
xo, Michelle

ReplyDeleteThank you for the feedback, Seydy! I think that you would look great in a bold outfit! Life is honestly such a shit show lol that you just have to step out of the routine sometimes! Thank you for stopping by! :)
DeleteI loved this sooo much!!! I understand you completely about being hard on yourself. I’m the same way. And since I started blogging the pressure is times 10! But it’s true as long as you’re happy with yourself you’re going to shine no matter what!
ReplyDeleteI love the look! Yellow is super underrated and the effort you did on the pants it looks amazing!
I had a similar situation with some loose pants that I had to hem the waistline! Thankfully my mom is an expert sewer so she saved me on that!
Keep up the post I love reading them ❤️❤️
Leslie! Girl, my mom sows too and I had that woman werrrrkin! Luckily we have all the equipment. Thank you so much for the feedback! I look forward to styling more bold looks, especially for summer time. I hope to bring a lot of pinks, greens, yellows and blues to my feed. ahhhh :)
DeleteGirrrrl I love the pop of color! I’m obsessed with anything mustard color and I love the way you styled the whole look. Since it’s festival/concert season, I think it’d be super cool to do a look inspired by that. Keep doing you boo!
